Bios

• Mr Steve and Ms Laura

  Steve and his wife Laura are the proud owners of the Goddard School in Chanhassen. Originally from Ohio, they moved to Minnesota in 2002. Steve has a degree in Education and English from St. Joseph's College in Indiana and is the on-site operator of the school. Laura graduated from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH and is a sales manager for Nikon. They have many happy memories of the Goddard School as both owners and parents. Their son is a graduate of the Chanhassen Goddard School and they are thrilled to be a part of many more Goddard memories both past and yet to come!

• Ms Kristin

  Ms. Kristin is the Operational Director for our school. She possesses a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Ms. Kristin's favorite activity to do with children is helping them learn something new. In her free time Ms. Kristin likes spending time with her husband and two children. They enjoy going to their family cabin, fishing and MN Wild games. Ms. Kristin's favorite children’s book is “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?”.

• Ms Sarah

  Ms. Sarah is the Educational Director for our school. She possesses a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from St. Catherine's University. Ms. Sarah's favorite activity to do with the children is reading stories to them using fun and silly voices to keep them entertained! In her free time Ms. Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also likes to read mysteries, watch movies, true crime stories, be crafty when the mood hits and learn all kinds of useless celebrity information! Ms. Sarah's favorite children’s book is "Are You My Mother?".

• Ms Ashley

  Ms. Ashley is a teacher in the Playful Pandas (Toddler) classroom. Ms. Ashley's favorite activity to do with the children is doing crafts that get messy! The kids think it's so fun and it makes her happy to know they enjoy it! In her free time Ms. Ashley enjoys spending time with her girls, Emma and Ellie. They love to geocache and spend time outdoors. They also love doing puzzles together as a family. Her favorite children's book is "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom".

• Ms Asma

  Ms. Asma is a teacher in the Terrific Tiger (Preschool) classroom. Ms. Asma's favorite activity to do with the children is during water days in the summer. She will take the cots, tables and chairs outside on one of the days. The children have a blast using sponges, shaving cream and soapy water to help clean everything! In her free time Ms. Asma enjoys reading books, going on walks and listening to books while walking. Her favorite children’s book is “The Gruffalo”.

• Ms Casey

  Ms. Casey is a teacher helping in our classrooms on school holidays and summers. She is currently working on her master’s degree in special education from Hamline University while working in the Wayzata School District. Ms. Casey's favorite childhood memory is of competing in spelling bees and having her whole family show up to watch! Ms. Casey believes children grow and learn best when they feel safe and loved!

• Ms Ellie

  Ms. Ellie is a teacher in the Dolphins Bay (Preschool) classroom. Ms. Ellie's favorite activity to do with the children is reading/singing silly books and songs. She also enjoys helping children learn new things that will help them be successful in the future. In her free time Ms. Ellie enjoys spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys going to concerts, baseball games and doing a variety of crafts. Ms. Ellie's favorite children's book is "We're Going on a Bear Hunt".

• Ms Hannah

  Ms. Hannah is a teacher helping in all our classrooms. Ms. Hannah's favorite activities to do with the children are sensory activities and science experiments. In her free time Ms. Hannah enjoys reading, hiking, baking and needlework. She also enjoys gaming with her friends and siblings. Ms. Hannah's favorite children’s book is “Frog and Toad”.

• Ms Jessica

  Ms. Jessica is at teacher in the Butterfly Garden (Infant) classroom. Ms. Jessica's favorite activity to do with the children is to sing songs with them, especially The Wheels on The Bus. In her free time Ms. Jessica enjoys going for walks. Her favorite children’s book is “Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!”

• Ms Katie

  Ms. Katie is at teacher in the Cuddly Koala (Infant) classroom. Ms. Katie's favorite thing to do with the children is to document their days so their parents can see what they are learning at school. In her free time Ms. Katie enjoys reading and creating art by drawing, painting, crocheting or whatever new craft she's found. She also enjoys taking care of her chickens, traveling to see the world as well as friends and family. Ms. Katie's favorite children’s book is “Love You Forever”.

• Ms Katlin

  Ms. Katlin is a teacher in the Cuddly Koala (Infant) classroom. Ms. Katlin's favorite activities to do with the children are art and music. She enjoys doing art projects that become keepsakes and her heart is warmed when a child is able to sing back a song that she taught them. In her free time Ms. Katlin enjoys spending time with her husband watching tv competitions like Big Brother, Survivor and The Amazing Race. Ms. Katlin's favorite children’s book is “I Love You Through and Through”.

• Ms Leah

  Ms. Leah is a teacher in the Starfish Reef (Toddler) classroom. Ms. Leah's favorite activity to do with the children is anything arts and crafts related. Getting the opportunity to be creative is something she'll never pass up! One of her favorite activities to do is "Our Classroom Art Gallery" where the kids get to see their artwork displayed. In her free time Ms. Leah enjoys spending time with her dog, Remy, shopping at T.J. Maxx or Marshalls, and catching up on sleep! Ms. Leah's favorite children’s book growing up was “There's a Wocket in My pocket” and her favorite children's book to read as a teacher is "Toad on the Road".

• Ms Marley

  Ms. Marley is a teacher in the Starfish Reef (Toddler) classroom. Ms. Marley's favorite activity to do with the children is making crafts with them, especially if it involves their feet or hands. She loves making silly animals out of them and thinks it's a cute and funny keepsake! In her free time Ms. Marley enjoys spending time with her friends and cats. In the summer she enjoys going to the zoo and Twins games. Ms. Marley's favorite children’s book is “Pete the Cat I Love My White Shoes”.

• Ms Savana

  Ms. Savana is a teacher in the Playful Pandas (Toddler) classroom. Ms. Savana's favorite activity to do with the children is different sensory bins! In her free time Ms. Savana enjoys hanging out with her husband Paul and her two sons, Ryland and Hayes. Ms. Savana's favorite children’s book is “The Giving Tree”.

• Mr Skyler

  Mr. Skyler is a teacher in the Soaring Eagles (Pre-Kindergarten) classroom. Mr. Skyler's favorite activity to do with the children is showing them new songs and dancing with them. He enjoys joking around with them and trying out a new experiment that usually ends in a mess! In his free time Mr. Skyler enjoys cooking and trying new recipes at home. He also loves spending time with friends and family or seeing a movie with an Icee and popcorn. Mr. Skyler's favorite children’s books are the "Piggie and Gerald” book series, "The Giving Tree" and "Where the Wild Things Are".

• Ms Whitney

  Ms. Whitney M. is a teacher in the Lion’s Den (Pre-Kindergarten) classroom. Ms. Whitney's favorite activities to do with the children are any fun group science experiments, like "Magic Milk". She also likes to sit in the library and have the children "read" a story to her. In her free time Ms. Whitney enjoys snuggling up with her two dogs and three cats while reading a book or watching Friends. She loves horseback riding with her two horses, whether it's trail rides or chasing cows. Ms. Whitney's favorite children’s book is “The Book With No Pictures”.

• Ms Whitney

  Ms. Whitney W. is a teacher in the Butterfly Garden (Infant) classroom. Ms. Whitney's favorite activity to do with the children is circle time! It's a time when all the kids are so engaged and loving every minute. In her free time Ms. Whitney enjoys spending time with her family and keeping busy with her three kiddo's (Gavin, Amelia and Autumn) sporting events. Ms. Whitney's favorite children’s book is “Love You Forever”.

• Ms Audrey

  Ms. Audrey is a teacher in our Soaring Eagles (Pre-Kindergarten) classroom. Ms. Audrey's favorite activities to do with the children is being creative with art and science, even combing the two. She loves incorporating any and all manipulatives/tools to make students eager and excited to learn. In her free time Ms. Audrey enjoys spending time with her family. She has two kids in college, a junior in high school, a 7th grader and a fur baby. She loves nature, music, board games and watching her boys play hockey. Ms. Audrey's favorite children's book is "The Giving Tree".

• Mr Malick

  Mr. Malick is a teacher helping in all our classrooms. Mr. Malick's favorite activities to do with the children are some of the messier experiments! He loves to see the children explore and learn while having a bit of fun. In his free time Mr. Malick enjoys hanging out with friends, traveling, and driving around to explore different places. Mr. Malick's favorite children’s book is “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom”.

• Ms Martha

  Ms. Martha is a teacher in the Lion's Den (Pre-Kindergarten) classroom. Ms. Martha's favorite activity to do with the children is science experiments, like erupting volcanoes and ooey gooey slime! In her free time Ms. Martha enjoys paddleboarding at Lake Ann with her Husband and walking their dog at various parks nearby. Ms. Martha's favorite children’s book is “The Giving Tree”.

• Ms Megan

  Ms. Megan is a teacher helping in all our classrooms. Ms. Megan's favorite activities to do with the children is to make fun crafts--seasonal holidays or personalized are her favorites. She loves to see how excited and creative kids get when doing art! In her free time Ms. Megan loves to be outside hiking, longboarding or being by a body of water. She also enjoys cooking, watching movies and painting (when she gets the chance!). Ms. Megan's favorite children’s book is “Harold and the Purple Crayon”.

• Ms Tina

  Ms. Tina is a teacher in our Cuddly Koala (Infant) classroom. Ms. Tina's favorite activities to do with the children are singing, dancing, and creating adorable crafts with them. In her free time Ms. Tina enjoys playing disc golf with her husband. Ms. Tina's favorite children's book is "A Bad Case of Stripes".

• Ms Celia

  Ms. Celia is at teacher in the Cuddly Koala (infant) classroom. Ms. Celia's favorite activity to do with the children is to go outside because it almost always lights them up and puts them in a great mood! In her free time Ms. Celia enjoys cooking, baking, trying out new recipes, hanging out with her husband and two cats and preparing to meet their first baby at the end of this October! Ms. Celia's favorite children's book is the "Children's Adventure Bible".

• Ms Cindy

  Ms. Cindy is our lunch service person. Ms. Cindy's favorite activities to do with the children are arts and crafts. She also enjoys the interesting conversations she has with them when she drops off their lunches each day! In her free time Ms. Cindy enjoys reading, cooking and going for walks with her dog. Her favorite children’s book is “Where the Wild Things Are”.

• Ms Dee

  Ms. Dee is a teacher in our Cuddly Koala (Infant) classroom. Ms. Dee's favorite activities to do with the children are scavenger hunts, Follow the Leader and Simon Says. In her free time Ms. Dee enjoys cooking, watching sports, playing cards and other games. She likes to hang out with her animals and spend time with her kids. Ms. Dee's favorite children's book is "Oh, Baby, the Places You'll Go!".

• Mr Evan

  Mr. Evan is a teacher helping in all our classrooms. Mr. Malick enjoys doing crafts, drawing and building towers out of MagnaTiles with the children. In his free time Mr. Evan loves robotics and anything that involves using his hands to create something. Mr. Evan's favorite children’s book is “The Day the Crayons Quit”.

• Ms Grace

  Ms. Grace is a teacher helping in all our classrooms. She feels like she has been helping take care of kids all her life, as she is the oldest of five children in her family! Ms. Grace believes children are our reminders that we get what we put out into the world.

• Mr Jack

  Mr. Jack is at teacher helping in all our classrooms. He will be a Junior at Minnetonka High School this fall. Mr. Jack's favorite activities to do with the children are engaging with them during center time as it allows him a window into their imagination. In his free time Mr. Jack enjoys hanging out and having fun with his friends. Mr. Jack's favorite children's book is "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!".

• Ms Jenevieve

  Ms. Jenevieve is a teacher in our Dolphin's Bay (Preschool) classroom. She has a certificate in culinary arts. In her free time Ms. Jenevieve enjoys watching moving/organizing shows, reading, looking at nature, working out and watching movies. Her favorite children’s books are anything by Dr. Seuss.

• Ms Miah

  Ms. Miah is a teacher helping in all our classrooms. Ms. Miah's favorite activities to do with the children are painting and making fun crafts. She also enjoys circle time and getting the children to interact with songs everyday. In her free time Ms. Miah enjoys being outside hiking on trails, four wheeling, or being at the beach. Ms. Miah's favorite children’s books are “Rainbow Fish and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom”.

• Ms Peyton

  Ms. Peyton is a teacher in the Terrific Tiger (Preschool) classroom. Ms. Peyton's favorite activity to do with the children is to play pretend with them! It's so fun seeing how big their imaginations are and what they come up with. In her free time Ms. Peyton enjoys coloring, doing puzzles and playing video games. She also loves to spend time outside with her friends. Ms. Peyton's favorite children’s book is “Goodnight Moon”.

• Ms Sarah

  Ms. Sarah H. is a teacher helping in all our classrooms. Ms. Sarah's favorite activities to do with the children are doing arts and crafts, reading and playing outside. In her free time Ms. Sarah enjoys riding her horse, cooking/baking and hanging out with her friends at the cabin during summer. Ms. Sarah's favorite children’s book is the “Junie B. Jones” series.

• Ms Treisy

  Ms. Treisy is a teacher in our Starfish Reef (Toddler) classroom. Ms. Treisy's favorite activity to do with the children is to walk around with them, looking at their surroundings and talking to them about what they see. In her free time Ms. Treisy enjoys spending time going on walks with her son and dog. If she has time to herself, she likes to play soccer, go snowboarding, swim or do different crafts. Ms. Treisy's favorite children’s book is “May You Love and Be Loved”.
